Today’s Daily Prompt of Carousel is quite apt since we have Ekka starting in Brisbane this week.
Hi, how are you? I hope you’re good. How am I? Well .. that’s a bit of a work in progress to be honest.
Words cannot express how I felt when I saw the devastation of Canterbury Cathedral after the February 22nd 2011 earthquake. Part of me felt like my life had changed forever.
We’ve all done the “someday I’ll do it” line.. well when do you say “screw ‘someday’.. I’m doing it now!!“??
No matter where you travel, you are undoubtedly going to experience a different culture.. even if it’s just crossing State lines or going to a different city or town.
I’ve seen some bridges in my time. Some small, some large. Some instantly recognisable, some not so much. To be honest, I don’t think I’ve ever met a bridge that I didn’t like. Though, of course some are just better than others…
So often you hear people going on about how wonderful travelling is and what a truly life changing experience it can be. It is, BUT on the other side of the coin there is plenty to hate about it too.
The only person I’m letting down is myself.
I have a pretty tough facade but things get to me sometimes.
If there is one thing I hate is being judged for the travel I do.
