Spontaneous pitstop on the way home.. now I just gotta find the pay station to pay for parking 🤔

Hello Saturday.. currently trying to motivate myself to get dressed & leave house.. How's your weekend (or almost weekend!) going?

It might be winter here in the southern part of the world but flashback to Christchurch really knowing how to do autumn right 😍😍

One of my favourite streets is New Regent Street in Christchurch. The street opened in 1932, has a Spanish Mission style architecture and lovely pastel colours. Some of the buildings were damaged in the Christchurch earthquakes but have been restored and largely operating since 2013. Along with the eateries and boutique shops that line the pedestrian mall, it is also one of the stops along the Christchurch Tram loop. New Regent Street is one of those places where even though it is small, you could actually spend hours there, especially on a nice day.

The road to Akaroa might be a bit windy but she sure is pretty! #pocketsofawesome

On my recent trip home there was one place I really, really wanted to visit.. Akaroa Despite being only an hour & half from my mum's place in Chch, I haven't been to Akaroa since I stayed there for a few days in 1997. I've had full intentions of going on previous trips home and usually get myself to the small town of Little River but the road from Little River to Akaroa is a bit curly, to say the least. This trip I was determined to go so roped in one of my BFF's to come with me and made her drive 😂 .. It was an awesome day though and we hung out at some od Akaroa's besr spots including this little jetty, which has not changed at all from the last time I was in town. What place have you been wanting to revisit (or visit) that is close to home but you never seem to get around to?
