This might seem weird but I don’t actually listen to a lot of music. I’m not constantly checking out new music so some of these songs have been around for awhile.. but there might be a couple of surprises in there too 🙂

1.Love My Life – Robbie Williams

Robbie has been my favourite male artist since I saw him live for the first time way back in 1999. I’ve since seen him about another 6 times time total and he always puts on a damn good show. This is his latest song from his new album and I really love the message behind it.

2.Thinking of You – Christian Kane

I had the privilege a couple months ago of seeing Christian in a live storyteller acoustic session at Oz Comic Con. Never in my wildest years did I ever think I would get to see him live, let alone in such an intimate setting. This is a song that he sang on an episode of one of my favourite TV shows, Leverage, and it was amazing. Then to hear him sing it in person!! Whoa! I kept reliving the moment over and over for about 4 weeks afterwards. Definitely an experience I am so glad I got to have and one I won’t forget in a while.

3.What We Live For – American Authors

I love, love, love American Authors – they are definitely my favourite band, and seeing them live was an amazing experience, so was meeting them before the gig (even if I did fall over in front of them and make an idiot of myself!). This is a song from their latest album that I really love. It came out just as I was about to embark on a road trip around the South Island in New Zealand and it is a BRILLIANT road trip song

4.Walking In The Wind – One Direction

Firstly – yes this is an actual One Direction song. Secondly – The video is the best I could find!! And no I didn’t make it 😀 .. Yes I am a middle aged 1D fan and I’m not ashamed of it ( OMG I’m admitting I’m middle aged!!). The album they released at the and of 2015 is actually really good if you sit and listen to it. I really love this song for the words and the melody. When I first heard it, I have to admit I cried because it made me think of my dad, who I miss a lot and it made me feel like he is there – wherever/whenever I need him.

5.Rhinestone Cowboy – Glen Campbell

Yes I know this song is old.. really old! My dad use to have a Glen Campbell LP – which is how I first heard this song back in the 70’s. I recently, randomly started singing it for some reason and now I’m kind of obsessed with it.. I mean come on.. it’s a classic!

6.Wanderlust – Flogging Molly

Every time this song comes on my iPod, it makes me want to travel – not that it’s hard to make me want to travel. But there’s just something about this song that gets my blood pumping for adventure.

7. The Best Is Yet To Come – Sheppard

This is currently one of my favourite songs. It’s really upbeat and has a really cool message to it. Something that I have definitely needed this year because it’s not been the best year on record (not the worst either though).

8.Fields of Athenry – Dropkick Murphys

I love this song and I love this version – it makes a frequent appearance on my iPod shuffle.. I mean bagpipes!!!

9. After All – Michael Buble (featuring Bryan Adams)

I might be a bit late to the party in regards to this song since it’s been out for about 3 years but I recently just heard it and fell in love with it. Michael Buble & Bryan Adams together.. it just seems so right in so many ways!

10. Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer

This one might see right out of left field but at this time of year I play this song a lot. It’s my favourite Christmas song so it seems appropriate to end this post with a festive tune 🙂
