So I got challenged to this by Bex over at BEXoxoBlog and thought I’d give it a go…
I am going to do 3 days of Travel Quotes because well.. I’m a travel blog (or I pretend to be at least). As always with these things, there are rules – however rules are made to be broken. I’m not going to nominate anyone but if someone wants to do the challenge because they read my blog, then I’m totally cool with that too 🙂
It’s funny actually – I’ve been waiting for someone to nominate me but I could have just done it because I wanted to – not because someone nominated me.. that being said, thanks to Bex for nominating me, I really do appreciate it 😀
- 3 quotes over 3 days
- Thank the person who nominated you
- 3 nominees each day to complete the challenge
- Inform the nominees
Day 1, Quote 1
This is definitely one of my favourite travel quotes. It’s been said that the Dalai Lama said it but I am not sure if that is true or not.. it’s kind of irrelevant who said it really because it’s still a darn good quote.
The thing I love about this quote is that you can take it any way you want. It could mean go to a new country. It could mean go to a new city. It could even mean go to a new mall..
It means whatever you want it to mean.
I remember a friend came to Brisbane once and raved about all the things you could do here. I was like “are you sure we’re in the same city??” What you think is the norm and boring, someone else might see as completely exciting and thrilling.
Maybe something different would be to have a ‘staycation’ in your own city and seeing it like a tourist would. Go to an area of city or town you live in that you normally wouldn’t go & explore.
You never know what you might find.
