Photo Challenge: Shine

I’ve posted this photo before and it’s likely that I’ll post it again in the future because it’s just that damn cool πŸ™‚

Lake Tekapo
Sunset at Lake Tekapo, New Zealand

It was the end of the day after I had been on the road for a good 5 or so hours.

I had finally reached my destination and was down by the lake stretching my legs, taking in the gorgeous surroundings in the Autumn afternoon.

The sun was setting behind Β the mountains and I managed to capture this shot on my camera (I’m ashamed to say it was in auto-mode).

This was the result.

Every time I look at this photo (which is actually quite a lot) I am transported back to that day and one of my favourite places on the planet.

I usually criticise my work relentlessly but I really love everything about this photo – for me, it captures a perfect moment perfectly.

Shoot what it feels like”
