Sunshine Blogger Award #2

I started this blog not really expecting people to read it, let alone actually like it! It was really just somewhere for me to talk about one of the things I love the most – travel.

But people are reading my blog and apparently liking it because I have again received a Sunshine Blogger Award nomination, thank you so much to BEXoxoBlog for nominating me!

Like I said previously, the Sunshine Blogger Award is given to “bloggers who are positive and creatively inspire others in the blogosphere” and of course there are rules that come along with it.

HERE ARE THE RULES:

  1. Thank the person that nominated you ✔️
  2. Answer the questions from your nominator  ✔️
  3. Nominate fellow bloggers you follow  ✔️
  4. Give them 10 questions to answer  ✔️

MY QUESTIONS FROM BEXoxoBlog:

Have you ever been fired from a job?
No, thankfully.

What was the last movie you saw in theaters?
Star Trek Beyond – it was pretty darn good too.

What has happened to you as a result of blogging?
I think my confidence has increased. When family & friends read your posts and like them, you get a bit of a thrill but when a complete stranger likes what you have written – it’s a different kind of experience.

What is a bad habit you have that you wish to correct?
I am perpetually (my new favourite word fyi) lazy – if I don’t want to go somewhere then I just won’t. I wish I had more ‘get up & go’ than I do.

Where do you enjoy blogging the most? At home on the couch? At a local coffee shop sipping a specialty drink?
I don’t really have a specific place but where I blog the most (even though I probably shouldn’t admit it) is actually work.

What is your favorite gift you have ever received?
One of my favourite gifts was from one of my sister in laws. I took this photo of some lilies that use to be at our old family home. My sister in law painted them onto canvas and gave it to me one year for Christmas. It is pretty stunning.

Have you ever experienced something close to being in a fairytale?
I think the first time I saw an actual castle is up there. I come from a very young country, so travelling to England and seeing a real castle was really kind of surreal (and I don’t use that word lightly!)

Leeds Castle
Leeds Castle, England

If you could have a meal with anyone (alive or otherwise) and pick their brain, who would it be and why?
Wow.. um, so many people come to mind. Shakespeare of course is one person but I think for purely selfish reasons it would have to be my dad, who passed away nearly 9 years ago. This year I’ve learned more about his life in the NZ Navy and I would love to talk to him about his travels. And plus – he’s my dad.. why wouldn’t I want just one more moment with him?!

What is #1 on your bucket list?
Visiting Petra in Jordan. It has been the #1 on my list since I was about 14. London was probably another really big one for a very young age – I think I have well & truly ticked that off my bucket list  🙂

Have you experienced being in love? If so, what was the moment you knew you were in love?
I don’t think I’ve ever been in love – which is kind of a depressing note to end on but there you have it.

I NOMINATE:

Just A Simple Country Girl

Wish for 30’s

QUESTIONS FOR YOU:

I’m going to cheat and keep the same questions as above.

  1. Have you ever been fired from a job?
  2. What was the last movie you saw in theaters?
  3. What has happened to you as a result of blogging?
  4. What is a bad habit you have that you wish to correct?
  5. Where do you enjoy blogging the most? At home on the couch? At a local coffee shop sipping a specialty drink?
  6. What is your favorite gift you have ever received?
  7. Have you ever experienced something close to being in a fairytale?
  8. If you could have a meal with anyone (alive or otherwise) and pick their brain, who would it be and why?
  9. What is #1 on your bucket list?
  10. Have you experienced being in love? If so, what was the moment you knew you were in love?

  1. Thanks for participating! I’m traveling to England (for the first time) next year with my (English) Fella, and he said that we’ll be heading to Leeds to visit his family. I might have to stop by that castle. It looks amazing!
