I’ve decided that I am going to try and post more regularly, thought it might be a good idea that each Friday I would post a random post. The plan is that these will be short posts about something that has smacked me in the head and said “you should so talk about me”… so without further adieu, this weeks topic is Instagram Inspiration.
I get inspired by a lot of things especially when it comes to Instagram, not only travel related posts but quotes, family photos etc. The app has grown into so much more than friends sharing photos with friends. You can follow and have followers from all over the world and from all different backgrounds. It’s a great way of connecting with like-minded people.
Today I am going to share with you some of my favourite Instagram accounts:
Pretty Little London
This account showcases some of the best photos from around London. Accounts like Pretty Little London are a great way to find other awesome accounts/people to follow.
Richard Lee Massey
I had actually seen a photo of Richard’s featured on Pretty Little London that I loved and started following him because of that. I love these wonderful little cafe’s he seems to find in London
I often ask friends to stop walking when I come across spots like this – so I was a little taken aback when my friend, Christina parked her bike (read: prop*) and actively asked me to take this shot… In fact, it felt a little forced. But I did it anyway. 🚲 *I'm pretty sure she uses her bike as a prop. It's now three months old, but still has crisp white tires – which of course was duly noted when we bumped into bicycle pro, @elice_f and her other half! #littlegeorgiacafe #unlistedcities
Love Great Britain
Amazing photos shared from around the UK. I get very inspired by some of these photos, and am constantly adding more places to my ever growing list of places to visit in the UK.
Pure New Zealand
Well I couldn’t not have this account in a list of my favourite Instagram accounts. Also the photo I’m featuring here is by another account I follow, who constantly has AMAZING photos, @barekiwi
Brent is an amazing Kiwi photographer, his photos are definitely awe-inspiring!
No, it isn’t just because her name is Sarah too, she also takes really beautiful photos on her travels (she’s currently in Lebanon)
Steven Wright takes the most incredible photos of Melbourne. He’s a super talented guy.
Jiri Siftar was one of the very first Instagram accounts I started following because of his amazing photos of London.
Pack Your Passport
Beverley’s blog, Pack Your Passport, was one of the first travel blogs I started reading when she was based in New Zealand. She has since moved back to her native UK and continues to share her adventures.
Page Family Adventures
My very good friend Felicity posts gorgeous photos of her & her sons adventures around Queensland, the Northern Territory and South East Asia. I also love the quotes she posts too.. Felicity is one inspirational chick!
"I believe in longing. In sitting in it, in feeling it, in breathing in it. Longing reminds us that we are alive, and that being alive is to know that we are built for feeling. You must remember to feel your life while you're in it" ~ Victoria Erickson #quote #quotes #words #poetry #poem #lifelessons #instaquote #travel #adventure #explore #live #love #life #victoriaerickson #pagefamilyvsqld
The First Piper
Ross Jennings is travelling around the world with his bagpipes. His aim is to play the bagpipes in every country in the world. Can’t get better than that… Travelling the world & Bagpipes!
Not a bad place to call home 👌🏻 The Amer Fort was once the secluded residence of the Rajput Maharajas and their families, but it's now the most visited site in the Jaipur area. It even has a 'Cafe Coffee Day' (India's version of Starbucks) located in one of the inner courts… not sure how I feel about that. Great spot for a piper though 😉 🇮🇳 #jaipurgram #amerfort #igersindia
One of my favourite Instagram accounts, Johan Lolos has been travelling around the world for a good few years now. I started following him when he was based in New Zealand and was posting stunning photos of the country
I hope you found something inspirational among these accounts. Do you have any favourite Instagram accounts? Feel free to share the links in the comments below.

Just putting the finishing touches to my blog post about my recent road trip.. loads of photographs including probably my favourite photo from the trip.. not too shabby right! This gorgeous building is the Church of the Good Shepherd at Lake Tekapo. It also happens to be the most photographed church in New Zealand .. if not one of the most photographed buildings.
